About Our Camp

Founding of the Camp

The camp was founded by two native English-speaking educators with more than 30 years of combined teaching experience. After working together on multiple educational camps and spending many years within formal education systems, the founders identified several recurring challenges faced by students, parents, and language curricula.

Motivated by a desire to address these issues, they developed a camp designed to provide students with a more engaging, effective, and rewarding learning experience. Unlike many programs developed primarily for commercial purposes, this camp was created by educators. As a result, its design prioritizes student learning, personal development, and educational quality above purely commercial considerations.

Meet Our Staff

Gil Muñoz is the co-founder of Royal Education Camp and an experienced language educator. He has spent over a decade teaching students from around the world in both classroom and camp environments. Gil has taught in the United States, China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkey, and Malaysia, giving him a broad international perspective on education. He believes that every student can learn when they are motivated, supported, and encouraged in a positive environment. His goal is to create a fun, engaging, and safe camp experience where every student can grow in confidence and curiosity.

Eston Japheth Samu is the co-founder of Royal education camp with over a decade of dedication to education and research. Having a double masters, experience with camps, schools, and students. The aim is to now use this acquired knowledge to fill in the gaps identified and catapult the students to success through experiential learning and providing the right environment to achieve those learning goals.
